South Africa - the Global Mohair leaders - present the Mohair collection of 2011.  This collection is a range of high quality home ware products and accessories, using the natural, precious Angora Goat fibre which are manufactured and designed by partners in Southern Africa and Internationally.

Some of the products in the range are inspired by the uniqueness and beauty of the Karoo landscape and plant life for which this region is famous. These include hand crafted mohair throws, lampshades, carpets and cushions to name but a few.

Essence of Mohair lifestyle forecast at Maison & Objet in Paris - September 9 - 13, 2011

Mohair South Africa was established to advance the entire mohair industry, realizing the responsibility that goes with being the most reliable and largest international source of quality mohair (South Africa currently produces 50% of the total world production).

Since 2009, it has called upon Lidewij Edelkoort to conduct special forecasts about mohair trends to inform, inspire and innovate the fibre in the fields of fashion and lifestyle. This year, Edelkoort has created the D.I.Y.Y. trend forecast for SPINEXPO in New York and Shanghai, and the Essence of Mohair lifestyle forecast at Maison & Objet in Paris (Ethnic Chic, stand D24-E23).
